Jeffrey Chambers, MD
Jeffrey Chambers, M.D. is a psychoanalyst and psychiatrist who practices in Durham and Raleigh. He is a graduate of the Psychoanalytic Institute of the Carolinas (PIC*), The University of Michigan Medical School, and the Duke University Psychiatry residency. He serves on the Board of Directors of the NC Psychoanalytic Foundation and is the Chair of the Foundation's Annual Public Lecture Committee. Dr. Chambers also is past President of the NC Coalition of Mental Health Professionals and Consumers and a current member of the NC Psychoanalytic Society. He and his wife Cheryl are parents of two young adults, Carissa and J.J.In 2008 the Psychoanalytic Education Center of the Carolinas was formed through collaborative efforts of the PPSC and PIC. Students already enrolled in these programs were able to complete their studies through the program they originally enrolled in.
