Board Bio

Terrie Baker, MSW


Terrie Baker, MSW is a psychoanalyst and clinical social worker in private practice in Chapel Hill, NC, with a focus on psychoanalytic psychotherapy. After a career in a scientific field, she returned to school and in 1996 she earned her MSW from the UNC School of Social Work. She was awarded the Rubin Blanck Award for rising second year clinical social workers in 1996. At the same time, she took the Introductory Course and later completed the Advanced Program through the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center (PPSC*). She is a recent graduate of the Psychoanalytic Institute of the Carolinas (PIC*). Ms. Baker is a member of the AAPCSW since 1996 and served as treasurer for many years. She is the Co-Chair of the North Carolina Chapter of the AAPCSW. Currently she serves on the Board of the NC Psychoanalytic Foundation and the NC Psychoanalytic Society where she now Chairs the Membership Committee.
